3rd weeks

Sweet little piglet.. you could hardly wake her up even changing her wet nappy.

1st week

29th JUL 2008 Sunday --The first day she reached home at 1100hrs and slept till 1830 hrs for her 1st feeding, poor girl she might be very tired ! :-) Now, my newborn baby Gee sleeps most of the day and feeds every three and a half or four hours (2 Oz b4 1st week and the 2nd week; 3 Oz for 3rd week and after; 4 Oz when she is full month ).

She is born with many automatic reflexes that help her make the transition to life outside the womb ; e.g. Sometime I stroke her cheek, and she'll turn her head toward my finger and move her mouth as if groping for a nipple ; If popo or papa hold her upright, she'll move her legs as if walking but these automatic reflexes disappeared within 3 weeks of birth ; and also The Moro — or startle — reflex causes her to automatically arch her back, extend her arms and legs, and sometimes cry out when she senses a loud noise or a sudden movement even during sleep, hope this goes away after a few months.
